Rules and Regulations

1. One chapter or SIG and one individual will receive credit for new members if the new member indicates a chapter or SIG and one STC member as the referring sponsor.
2. Applications without a chapter or SIG and a STC member’s name listed as the sponsor will not be credited.
3. The recruiter must be a current member.
4. To qualify and earn credit, the individual being recommended for membership must be a “new” member, that is, someone who has not been a member for at least one year or more.
5. The final deadline is 31 December 2008 at 5:00 pm EST (GMT -5). Applications received after the deadline will not be counted.
6. Only one chapter or SIG and an individual will be given credit per new member.
7. Vouchers to be used toward registration for live Web seminars or the STC Technical Communication Summit must be used during the 2009 membership year. No exceptions.
8. In the case that a national company is recruited and wishes to join the Corporate Value Program (CVP), the individual, chapter, or SIG involved in the recruitment of the company will be given credit for each employee signed up under that company.
9. Individual prizes are to be used solely by the individual winner. Individual prizes may not be transferred.
10. Chapter or SIG prizes should be raffled off to members of that specific community.
11. Two students equal one full recruit. This means that two students must be recruited in order for the STC recruiter to be given full credit.
